Welcome to South Huntington Beach Girls Fastpitch Softball (SHBGFS) League. SHBGFS is proud to be a part of the USA Softball Association. We are a non-profit recreation softball league that serves girls ages 5 through 14 residing in Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, and surrounding communities. We provide a safe, first class recreational softball program to all girls interested in fastpitch softball.

USA Softball - Age Division Chart for 2025-2026
SHB offers several age divisions to reach a wider scope of players, which includes 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U. Please see below to find which age division your daughter will be placed in for the Spring 2025 season (based on her birthday):
6U: 9/1/2018 to 8/31/2020
8U: 9/1/2016 to 8/31/2018
10U: 9/1/2014 to 8/31/2016
12U: 9/1/2012 to 8/31/2014
14U: 9/1/2010 to 8/31/2012

Our 1st Annual Airshow Tournament
We hosted our 1st Annual Airshow Tournament on our home fields from Friday, 10/4/24 to Sunday, 10/6/24. Despite the short notice, we had enough talented teams and amazing volunteers to pull off a successful event! Over three days of tournament play, we had teams from 8U to 14U battle it out under the roar of fighter jets and planes performing at the Airshow. Due to the heavy fog and cloudy skies, the airshow action wasn't as jam-packed as in previous years, but many were able to view several of the impressive planes flying overhead. The upside to the inclement weather was that air temperatures stayed down, perfect for playing softball!
We are excited to host next year's Airshow Tournament, which will undoubtedly be bigger and better! Details will be released during the summer of 2025 so be sure to stay tuned!
SHB 14U BAD NEWS BEARS PLACES 3RD AT 2022 CENTRAL "B" DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP
Ladies and Gentlemen, give it up for our SHB 14U Bad News Bears!! They earned a 3rd place finish at the 2022 Central "B" District Championship Tournament. South Huntington Beach Girls Fast Pitch Softball is very proud of all of our athletes and coaches who will be competing this weekend in Lancaster, CA for a shot at the USA Softball B State Championship!! Best of luck this weekend girls!!!
